TerraID — The Trust Layer for the Physical World

TerraID is accountability infrastructure for autonomous AI agents. Every agent receives a cryptographic identity bound to a physical jurisdiction, with scoped delegation chains and Merkle-logged activity.

The Accountability Gap

AI agents are going autonomous. Every major AI lab is building agent frameworks. None answer the four questions every autonomous interaction demands. System prompts can be jailbroken. RLHF can be bypassed. The constraints are linguistic, not mathematical. TerraID replaces linguistic constraints with cryptographic infrastructure.

Spatial Identity

Every cell on Earth receives a deterministic cryptographic identifier — a terra://tid computed from pure mathematics. No lookup table, no API, no vocabulary. Any agent in any language computes the same identifier from the same coordinates.

Trusted Discovery

Agents discover entities by computing the cell, not searching a database. Same coordinates produce the same identity — any agent, any language, any platform.

Delegation Chains

Cryptographically signed, narrowing-only permission hierarchies that constrain agent behavior mathematically. Scoped, time-limited, and instantly revocable.

Merkle Audit Ledger

Every agent action — authorized and denied — is recorded on a tamper-evident ledger with Merkle proofs, periodically anchored to a public blockchain.

Starting with UK Property

Millions of UK properties indexed. Government data sources verified. The UK Building Safety Act mandates an immutable audit trail — TerraID provides it cryptographically.

Technical Standards

  • Ed25519 cryptographic signing (EUDI Wallet standard)
  • did:key for self-resolving decentralised identities
  • SD-JWT-VC for selective disclosure verifiable credentials
  • Narrowing-only delegation chains with instant revocation
  • Tamper-evident ledger with Merkle trees, anchored on-chain
